Mini Tag Album

Image
Good morning scrappers, What a lovely morning for our first day of spring! Today I thought I would share with you a Mini Tag Album I made for a challenge at SFS-Enjoy-Share-Create.  The requirements were to use tags but no scrapbook layouts, Project life etc, it had to be something different. I came up with a tag album Using larger tags from Kaszazz and the beautiful Lilac Mist papers and Diecuts from Kaisercraft. Here are some close ups, I used photos of my grand children that I had taken at a local park. I trimmed the photos down to fit the tags.                                           I decorated each tag with some diecuts. Each patterned photo mat I used a black gel pen to draw my faux stitching, this helps the photo mats to pop off the page instead of blending in to the background page. An album ring a piece of twine and some tassels were used to complete the album and dress it up a little. I printed a couple of quotes about Family from the internet and used them as extra title

Bees- Black and White Challenge by ARTastic

. We were given a black and white image for inspiration. Interprete as you wish, your layout must use black and white and include bees, butterflies or any other insect. I found this photo of No.2 grand daughter dressed as a bee for book week 2021. It was perfect, fitted the inset criteria and not too bright a photo.  This is the Moodboard, I interpreted it as layers of stamping, some images stamped directly onto the layout, others stamped onto scraps of white cardstock and fussy cut then adhered in place. This helped to give some dimension to the layout as you can see in the closeups. I hand drew a border around the page to complete it                                                      Close ups of the layout, look closely you can see the layers.                                                               Until next time                                                                        Deb

Enchanted Moment

Hi Everyone,  Today I am focusing on a mixed media layout inspired by the July Random Arts Moodboard Creative Hub. As soon as I saw this moodboard , I thought of, fairies, toadstools,a forest inspired theme. I found a photo of my eldest grand daughter holding a birds nest, that thought would work perfectly for this Moodboard. I double matted the photo, firstly with white, then a green  mat, which helped it to pop out from the background, rather then just blend in.                   The moodboard from the July Challenge at Random arts Creative Hub I chose 2 papers from the Enchanted Collection from Kaisercraft. I fussy cut the centre of this paper, around the trees and branches, removing they sky background. I adhered my fussy cut paper on  to this Ivy themed page. As I was going to use resins and other foliage items I adhered the my paper base to another sheet of plain cardstock, to make the base layer a little firmer  these are some of the products I used. Firstly I painted the resin

Sunkissed

I love entering monthly challenges and try to do as many as I can each  month. Whether they be Moodboard Challenges, Sketch Challenges, it really doesn't matter, I have a go at them all. This month Scrap With Attitude's Challenge was a Moodboard, the extra requirements were to journal and multiple photos which were to be matted the Photos. I chose to used the brightly coloured Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed collection to use for my layout. I decided to use a stencil and texture paste to add interest to the background.  I find using an old credit card to spread the texture paste is a lot easier to get a better coverage. These are the items I used to put my layout together. While the texture paste was drying, I fussy cut the flowers and title I was wanting to use. I mounted the 3 photos, that I had previously cut down to size, with the blue and green papers.  I attach my photos using foam mounting tape or a piece of cardboard glued to the back of the  photo.  Then add the flower, agai
