Hi Everyone, Debra from the Denise Boddey Design Team here to share with you a layout I have created using lots  of lovely products from the Denise Boddey Designs Shop. I had lots of fun putting this one together I used the the In The Castle paper from the Day Dream Story Book Collection. I used the Shutters Chipboard angled behind my photos. layers of fussy cut flowers and leaves surround my photos. Raw chipboard sprigs are tucked in among the flowers , with extra small paper flowers added. I used the Deco Half Circle Die, cut in gold glitter paper, tucked in amongst my biggest cluster. To complete my layout I added the chipboard Title, Once Upon A Tine, embossed with gold embossing powder. Products I used can be found at- deniseboddeydesigns.com Hope you like what I have created.   Hello Every one, Debra here from the  Denise Boddey Designs  design team. Today I am here to share with you my very first creation for Denise Boddey Designs I used papers from the beautiful   Elegance Collection papers, which I have fussy cut, torn , inked and layered My photo is mounted on a fancy chipboard frame. Ornate Chipboard Frame I embossed the leafy chipboard pieces and tucked them under the flowers I have added.  I have added more texture to the layout using texture paste through a stencil, then added some Artstones for added detail. The printed flowers on the paper I have glued gold microbeads for the flower centres so that the flowers pop. Hope you are inspired to create using these beautiful papers from  Denise Boddey Designs Debra

Firstly I fussy Cut the Man with Wings paper, Cutting all except  the left side below his wings so that I had something to adhere to my layout.       Next I fussy cut the Steam Engine paper, cutting around the right side only top to bottom Folding under half an inch on the left side of both my Fussy cut papers I fifstly ahhered the steam engine piece to the base page

Mini Tag Album

Image
Good morning scrappers, What a lovely morning for our first day of spring! Today I thought I would share with you a Mini Tag Album I made for a challenge at SFS-Enjoy-Share-Create.  The requirements were to use tags but no scrapbook layouts, Project life etc, it had to be something different. I came up with a tag album Using larger tags from Kaszazz and the beautiful Lilac Mist papers and Diecuts from Kaisercraft. Here are some close ups, I used photos of my grand children that I had taken at a local park. I trimmed the photos down to fit the tags.                                           I decorated each tag with some diecuts. Each patterned photo mat I used a black gel pen to draw my faux stitching, this helps the photo mats to pop off the page instead of blending in to the background page. An album ring a piece of twine and some tassels were used to complete the album ...

Bees- Black and White Challenge by ARTastic

Image
. We were given a black and white image for inspiration. Interprete as you wish, your layout must use black and white and include bees, butterflies or any other insect. I found this photo of No.2 grand daughter dressed as a bee for book week 2021. It was perfect, fitted the inset criteria and not too bright a photo.  This is the Moodboard, I interpreted it as layers of stamping, some images stamped directly onto the layout, others stamped onto scraps of white cardstock and fussy cut then adhered in place. This helped to give some dimension to the layout as you can see in the closeups. I hand drew a border around the page to complete it                                                      Close ups of the layout, look closely you can see the layers.                           ...

Enchanted Moment

Image
Hi Everyone,  Today I am focusing on a mixed media layout inspired by the July Random Arts Moodboard Creative Hub. As soon as I saw this moodboard , I thought of, fairies, toadstools,a forest inspired theme. I found a photo of my eldest grand daughter holding a birds nest, that thought would work perfectly for this Moodboard. I double matted the photo, firstly with white, then a green  mat, which helped it to pop out from the background, rather then just blend in.                   The moodboard from the July Challenge at Random arts Creative Hub I chose 2 papers from the Enchanted Collection from Kaisercraft. I fussy cut the centre of this paper, around the trees and branches, removing they sky background. I adhered my fussy cut paper on  to this Ivy themed page. As I was going to use resins and other foliage items I adhered the my paper base to another sheet of plain cardstock, to make the base layer a little firmer...
